Every time they are more the persons who cheer up to prepare a presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint. In many of these presentations we want to combine photos and text, and add a melody. In Internet we can meet big songs quantity in format MP3, but the program PowerPoint does not support this format to include fund music.
We have two options: ripear any melody from a musical CD, or to make use of the melody that we have stored on our hard disk in format MP3. Although several applications exist to carry the formats conversion works out we are going to remain with two, one for every case.
Of audio CD to MP3

We can turn straight a track of an audio CD into a file MP3, format that it is not possible to include like fund music in a PowerPoint but that will serve to us to obtain later a file WAV. For it we are going to use CDex, a simple program of open code and of high services.
After installing it, to carry the conversion out, it is necessary to introduce the CD in the reading unit earlier or after initiating the program. Selected the track, it is necessary to agree to Turn / to Extract track (s) to file (s) in compressed format. The result is a file in format MP3 that will be stored in the folder that we have indicated in Options / Configuration of CDex / local CDDB.
Of MP3 to WAV
If we have the MP3 in our computer, we have to, before including it in the presentation, converting it to the format WAV. We will use for it dBpowerAMP Music Converter, an application that installs a new option in the menu contextual. On having touched the right button of the mouse on the file MP3, we select Convert to. In the new window that is opened we fit the parameters, making them like they appear in the following image: Al pulsar el botón derecho del ratón sobre el archivo MP3 seleccionamos Convert to.

We will obtain this way a file WAV of little weight, ideal to insert it in the presentation. The file has kept in the same folder in which the original MP3 was.
The last step that we must give is the inclusion of the melody in the PowerPoint presentation. For it we select, in the Panel of tasks of the program, slide Transition. We choose Another sound and look, on our hard disk, for the melody that we have just turned. Before keeping the document, in format PPT or PPS, we must mark the pigeonhole to Repeat up to the next sound.
And: voilà!, our presentation is already finished. Now it has fund music. Ahora tiene música de fondo.
